Moving Forward

Life and Death, Creation and Destruction have moved together, hand in hand since
the time the universe or universes came into existence. The reason for this is obvious.
Creation is an ongoing process just as life is a continuous process. With each breath, we
push in the creative energy of life. But this endless creative impulsion has to be balanced
by destruction to make way for the new.

Death therefore, is only a process of life, to make room for new life. Destruction is a
means adopted by creation to bring in new elements and thereby change things in a
certain direction. This change may seem a mechanical repetition in a short span of time
but when we look through long spaces of Time, we can see that despite the repetition,
something new is also introduced, leading to micro and macro evolution.

Even in a lifetime, though physically the body deteriorates, the mind can go on growing,
exploring, discovering new dimensions. Perhaps one reason for death of the body may
well lie in this evolutionary push of life to manifest new possibilities that are feasible only
on a new bodily base. Thus, rebirth may be a logical necessity for the soul and each life a
step forward in the great evolutionary journey.
