Moving Forward

We can look at life as a wave that is born from the ocean depths of the One
Consciousness. It rises and peaks awhile and then declines. But is that the end of the
story? It rises again, the same wave though different, altered by the play of the ocean
and the wind. Yet if we look at it carefully, we shall see that with each rise and fall it is
pushed a little forward.

So too, our life going through birth and life and death is pushed a little forward with
each birth. It is not a futile cycle of birth and death and rebirth but a constant evolution, a
journey with a direction and a purpose.

Once we know this then all fear vanishes. Neither life nor death holds any more fear,
neither rise nor fall for through all this we move inevitably forward impelled by the
ocean-force.

The only thing that really matters then, is how much and how well we can move forward
by aligning ourselves to the Ocean-Force.

All the rest are the changing circumstances. The forward march is the only constant.
