Moving Forward
Sometimes we go through jump-time when earth goes through a leap. Outwardly this
period of time presents itself as a series of challenges through which we must navigate.
Inwardly however it is a cry for change, a change not only in our outer behaviour but
also in our thoughts and feelings, in our hopes and aspirations, in the very aims and
goals that we set for ourselves.
It is a disorienting period but the disorientation is for a reorientation of our life. Like any
evolutionary challenge, it tends to part the creatures facing it into two sides or types.
There are those who adapt and evolve while there are others who fall back into the old
ways waiting for another crisis and another push.
The year that we left behind seems to be one such moment given to us to reset our life
and reorient our goals. How far we have succeeded in doing so is something only time
can tell. But one thing is certain, that given our exploitative lifestyle, this is an early
warning sign from Nature. The great and patient Mother seems to be asking us: change
and evolve or else fall back and perish.
Let us hope that something deep within us listens and learns.
