Let me confess at the outset that I may not be able to justify this book’s depth and scope
fully. However, I present my takeaways from this much-awaited book on yoga, health
and transpersonal growth. Undoubtedly, it will serve as a textbook for students and
professionals in the mental health field. In the first chapter, the book traces the history
of consciousness-based psychology, clearly explains the present scenario, and points
a beacon of light towards future studies. The authors have painstakingly presented a
scholarly work by including valuable insights from psychologists, philosophers and
thinkers who have been close to the vision and insights of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
