Moving Forward

There is a silent revolution taking place in every sphere of human activity. This
revolution is happening all around us without any announcement or propaganda. It is
happening with or without our consent or even our awareness. It is happening within
us, without us, around us. It is a revolution in human consciousness that is happening in
        spite of us.

Yes, this unprecedented change or rather changes that we are witnessing today remain
largely unexplained, unless we take it that human consciousness has for some reason or
the other entered a new phase of evolutionary activity. This new activity is characterised
by the growing restlessness, almost impatience, with the old paradigms and ways of
life and, along with that, a cry for change. What the change should be is not yet clear
but the need is being universally felt all over the world. The result is an increasing
experimentation with new modes of life, from drug abuse to newer forms of therapy and
alternative medicine, from living-in relations to new patterns of lifestyle, from crossing
of time-zones to a transcending of cultural barriers, man seems to be trying out various
things in his urge and push towards change. The change is sometimes confusing, at other
times refreshing but always it shows that there is a strong and growing need towards
something true, something more beautiful than what we have known and experienced
        up until now.

Of course the breakdown of old measures also means a breaking down of social
compartments and mental and moral walls that the human mind had built against the
Truth in its need for safety. But with this breakdown, the wall of safety is gone. It is as if
we were being pushed out of every comfort-zone, moral, social, religious, in which we
had entrenched ourselves calling it The Truth. Now the walls stand broken, the limits
cease to be; it is as if a whole old world is passing away rapidly out of sight.

But the new is yet only vaguely visible, like the first feel rather than the glimmer of
dawn. Yet those who are awake feel it in their very bones and know that the hour arrives
for which earth and man has waited for long.

Let us, in all humility, salute the Advent of the New Age and the New World.
